Dear Colleagues:

This could be the last update before we meet in Rabat. I strongly urge you to check our website (www.mesce.org) regularly. It is constantly being updated.

1. Programme
Thanks to your feedback on the first draft, we now have a programme that addresses your personal needs as well as the various academic interests of the participants. The new (and final programme) will be uploaded this evening.

2. Registration
There are a good number of us who have not yet registered. Some of us informed me that they would pay at the registration desk. Needless to say, your registration and payment are greatly appreciated and needed.

3. Abstracts
Abstracts have just been uploaded on our site (www.mesce.org)

4. Venues
The venue of the welcome recption on the 8th is: Diwan Hotel, Place De l'Unite Africaine, Rabat (0537 26 27 27). Once again, I thank Prof Samira Dlimi for securing the sponsorship for this event.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I have just been informed that the venue for the conference (9-10) is now: Centre des Formations et des Rencontres Nationales, Avenue Mohamed Belhassan Ouazzini, Hay Nahda, Rabat. The venue is situated in front of ENS, near Lycee Dar Salam. Apologies.

5. Help
Prof. Dlimi has gently given her telephone numbers in case you need her help in Rabat. The numbers are available on the web (www.mesce.org - latest news)

I am pleased to inform you that the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of
Rabat will be hosting the welcome recption on the 8th of November at
17.30. I would like to thank Prof. Samira Dlimi for securing such
sponsorship. The welcome reception will take place at the Diwan
Hotel, Place De L'unite Africaine, Rabat (0537 26 27 27).

Prof Dlimi is suggesting Hotel Pietri or Mercure for those who have not
booked yet. Can you kindly advise Prof. Dlimi where you are staying.
She might organise transport for us if we are efficient in responding to

1. The organising committee will not intervene on behalf of Visa applicants. None of the committee members will represent potential participants at the border.

2. You are kindly requested to register at your earliest convenience.

3. There will be no credit card facilities at the desk.
